I'd rather be a good guy who acts the villain,
Than be a bad guy who plays the saint,
I'd rather be a good guy who acts the villain,
Than be a bad guy who plays the saint,
Because when it all comes tumbling down and it will,
And you get figured out,
Imagine if you're a better human than what you claimed.
Your best mate hates us,
Small potatoes,
You ain't famous,
Unless you got a few haters,
I don't touch the pages of the tabloid news papers,
Journo scum! Class war perpetrators,
Media blackout, there's no demonstrators,
Crying crocodile tears the size of salt water alligators,
Freedom of speech? Look, orchestrators,
Benefits street? The undatables are daters,
Hate now, laugh now, bring us down or elevate us,
Can I be your puppet, gestapo you made us,
Look the bailiffs at your door all up in your anus,
Now you know who are the real invaders,
I'd rather be a good guy who acts the villain,
Than be a bad guy who plays the saint,
Because when it all comes tumbling down and it will,
And you get figured out,
Imagine if you're a better human than what you claimed.
The unelectable's elected expect the unexpected,
The frog's got hold of the scalpel now you're the one being dissected,
Mutiny on the galleon over half the crew's effected,
Cut out the gangrene before the rest gets infected,
When your team's throwing dirt you better watch your step kid,
Are you tripping or are you slipping was the move made or directed?
Was it anticipated or manipulated or both, taken or administrated,
Fuck your record deal now I feel elated,
If I wanna blow up then I'm the one who detonated,
Sober, inebriated, head strong or decapitated,
We all lose either way divided separated.
I'd rather be a good guy who acts the villain,
Than be a bad guy who plays the saint,
Because when it all comes tumbling down and it will,
And you get figured out,
Imagine if you're a better human than what you claimed.
I'd rather be a good guy who acts the villain,
Than be a bad guy who plays the saint,
Because when it all comes tumbling down and it will,
And you get figured out,
Imagine if you're a better human than what you claimed.
YEEEES!
YEEEES!
Twenty years later than I would have liked, but hells yes! I stumbled upon "No manners in Ireland" yesterday, cueing the easiest binge buy in a while. This is a nice blend of skillful instrumentalism, great lead voice and good tunes. The old Toasters / Madness / Bosstones fan in me is bouncing off the ceiling again. Thank you for that. You seem to be gathering steam as well. Here's to a long run! raphaelhythlodai
I can safely say I've never been this excited over a piece of plastic in my entire life! This is awesome! It's impossible to pick a favourite when every track is a banger. The lyrics are on point and delivered with an acerbic wit and passion that leaves me in no doubt that they're spoken from the heart. I need more of this in my life! Dylan Barry
